Evening Carl ,
Are there any photographs of the park after it was opened or indeed when it was opening? I seem to remember a paper called the Laisbut googling it has drawn a blank. Any help i can give to the group obviously from a distance although i ddo get down usually once a year please let me know,
Best wishes,
Nigel.

Would be interested in hearing from any of you who may be interested in starting to go through the old documents to see what is there. The items need to be catalogued and see if there are any stories that could be pieced together e.g. among the correspondance. John found an insurance claim made under the heading 'Riot and malicious damage' (in the 1940's I think it was). Would love to know if there's more on that story.

Just so that everyone is aware, we now have the original documents that relate to Godre'r Graig Park that date back to 1 year before its official opening in 1924! Its a fascinating and irreplaceable resource for this group and a big step forward in being able to decide what activities the group can begin planning.

Still a going concern!

Things have been quiet of late, but do not despair, the active stuff is about to begin again.... The pond is dug and when it has been lined all volunteers will be invited to get their wellies and plant it up! Groups will be contacted soon to start getting their ideas for projects formed into plans, so if you are interested in a particular group then sign up. ...more news to follow soon...
