HI Chis, Welcome to the community site, I do some volunteer work both at Worms head, Rhossili., with NCI and in Swansea with MVS both groups help with looking after the saftey of people on or near the sea.. in fact, the NCIact as a extra per of eyes and hears for the CoastGuard.
MVS can offer saftey boat cover for groups carrying out events on the water, river Tawe, or Swansea Bay, etc..
But as a person who was once a grounds person, i would like to help you manage the park at Godrergraig..
of course would need a little retraining in the use of Chain Saw, etc..
have also experiance with working with groups of children, As i was a S/Sgt with the ACF for over 13 years..
HI All

I work for the Wildlife Trust based in swansea and NPT and work with community groups to achive sustainable community projects.

The Wildlife Trust is the largest chariable conservation charity working at a local level in the UK. We have and manage over 100 nature reserves of all sizes from cliff tops on the Gower to Islands such as Skomer and Skokholm and a few locally at Alltwen and Melincwrt Waterfalls near resolven.

I would like to offer my services to the park for free to help setup and constitute groups and deliver practical sustainable woodland management on the site providing skills and knowledge which people and groups can go on to use in the future.

Still a going concern!

Things have been quiet of late, but do not despair, the active stuff is about to begin again.... The pond is dug and when it has been lined all volunteers will be invited to get their wellies and plant it up! Groups will be contacted soon to start getting their ideas for projects formed into plans, so if you are interested in a particular group then sign up. ...more news to follow soon...
